In an interview with AS ahead of Villarreal’s La Liga clash with Real Madrid on Saturday, Pau Torres was asked about possible interest from Madrid.
What are your thoughts on Madrid?
“We see that they have no trouble scoring goals and can take advantage of space to do damage. There’s no need to explain the quality and capabilities of an opponent like this.”
And how can you beat them?
“We can’t let them run, because they are very good and decisive with space. We’ll try to dominate with the ball, as we feel comfortable doing that, and we think that’s the best way to hurt them.”
What about the rumours of possible interest from Madrid?
“Well, I don’t know to what extent there was talk about me or not in that sense. In the end, they were just rumours, but I never had a call from anyone, or anything like that. My work has always been focused on the club, and when you play in these kinds of matches you always want to give your best.”
