Osasuna sweating over Ante Budimir before Rayo Vallecano clash

La Liga outfit Osasuna are sweating over the fitness of a key member of the club’s frontline, ahead of their return to action this weekend.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ante Budimir as the player in question.

Frontman Budimir, for his part, spent the last week away on international duty, with Croatia.

The 33-year-old ultimately went on to feature in one of his country’s two Nations League outings, off the bench against Poland last weekend.

And, unfortunately for Osasuna, amid as much, Budimir seemingly picked up a fitness problem.

As per MD, Los Rojillos’ star goalscorer was a ‘surprise’ absentee from group training on both Tuesday and Wednesday, when he was instead put through individualised indoor sessions.

Budimir, in turn, is considered as being in a race against time to feature against Rayo Vallecano, in his side’s post-international break return to action at Vallecas next Monday night.
