Osasuna star’s injury ‘looks bad’

Osasuna star Valentín Rosier looks set to be condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines.

That’s if the latest comments on the part of his manager are anything to go by…

Osasuna were of course back in action on Saturday evening, making the trip to the Spanish capital for a La Liga meeting with Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrud.

When all was said and done, the visitors found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result, owing to a solitary strike on the part of Thiago Almada.

Osasuna’s woes, though, did not end with simply the outcome at the Metropolitano.

In addition, the Rojillos saw the aforementioned Valentín Rosier forced into a premature departure from the action.

After pulling up shortly before the interval, the full-back limped from the field of play under the watch of the Osasuna medical team.

And speaking to the media post-match, manager Alessio Lisci provided the following concerning update on the situation:

“We have to run tests on him. It looks bad, but we have to run tests.”
