Osasuna handed injury boost ahead of Athletic Club clash

La Liga outfit Osasuna have this week been afforded some timely positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Mundo Deportivo that Aimar Oroz has returned to full contact training alongside the rest of Jagoba Arrasate’s squad.

Oroz, for his part, has not featured in any of Osasuna’s last four fixtures, owing to a quad injury suffered against Almería late in March.

And his absence has been keenly felt, en route to defeats at the hands of all of Valencia, Rayo Vallecano, Granada and, most recently, Real Betis this past weekend.

In turn, it will no doubt mark a welcome boost to all associated with Los Rojillos to hear that their side’s midfield talent has at last been given the green light to return to full training.

Oroz was first spotted back on the grass in Pamplona last week.

Only over the last 24 hours, though, has the 22-year-old been deemed well enough to see out a full session with the rest of his teammates.

He is, in turn, expected to be part of the matchday setup this weekend, when Osasuna make the trip to the Basque Country, for a La Liga meeting with Athletic Club.
