The coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid have been left altogether surprised by the adaptation of a member of the club’s academy ranks to first-team training over the last week.
That’s according to ESPN, who point towards Thiago Pitarch as the player in question.
The name of youngster Pitarch, for those not aware, has emerged as an altogether prominent one behind the scenes in Spain’s capital over recent days.
This comes after the 18-year-old was afforded a chance to impress in senior training, an opportunity which he has since taken full advantage of.
As per a report from ESPN:
‘Thiago Pitarch has emerged as the star of Real Madrid’s preseason, and the youth squad player has travelled for this Tuesday’s friendly in Austria.’
Xabi Alonso and co. are said to have been hugely impressed by the Spaniard’s ‘explosiveness in pressing exercises, as well as his quality and dynamism in midfield’.
A new contract, in turn, is already being drawn up for Pitarch, who looks set to be afforded his competitive senior bow for Los Blancos before long.
