A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was the subject of widespread chants on the part of the WSG Tirol faithful on Tuesday.
The player in question? David Alaba.
Real Madrid were of course back in action yesterday evening, making the trip to Innsbruck for a meeting with Austrian outfit WSG.
When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a dominant 4-0 scoreline, with star frontman Kylian Mbappé having been on target to the tune of a brace.
The aforementioned David Alaba, meanwhile, played his part after being introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half.
And as alluded to above, following as much, the experienced defender came in for a show of appreciation on the part of the home crowd.
An Austrian international lining out in his home country, chants of ‘Alaba, Alaba’ were heard booming around The Tivoli Stadion Tirol.
