A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is loving life under the watch of new manager Xabi Alonso.
That’s according to The Athletic, who point towards Arda Güler as the player in question.
Youngster Güler is for his part currently in the midst of preparations for what is expected to be a major uptick in prominence in Spain’s capital this coming season.
After struggling for regular starts under the watch of Carlo Ancelotti over the last two years, the Turk has since gained the full confidence of new manager Xabi Alonso.
As much was made clear during this summer’s Club World Cup, when Güler acted as a pillar in Real Madrid’s midfield.
And as alluded to above, the significance of as much does not appear to have been at all lost on the 20-year-old himself.
As per a report from The Athletic:
‘“Arda is delighted with Xabi,” people close to the player — who asked to remain anonymous to protect relationships — told The Athletic.’
