The details of a new offer put before La Liga giants Barcelona by manufacturer Puma have this afternoon been revealed.
And the figures are no doubt set to pique widespread attentions across the Barcelona fanbase.
As much comes with Puma having upped the ante in a major way, in an effort to convince the Blaugrana to cut ties with current kit manufacturer Nike, and commit to a contract with the Germans, instead.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, who point towards the proposal as coming in the range of €120-140 million-per-year.
Not only that, but Puma have added yet further incentive, by way of a €100 million signing bonus.
These terms, it is claimed, ‘would make Barça one of the best paid clubs in the world for its shirt’.
Such a cash injection would of course mark a timely one for the Catalans, with the club’s monetary woes having long been common knowledge across the world of football.
Should the brass at the Camp Nou have any intention of committing to a deal with Puma, however, much work remains to be done.
This comes with Barcelona tied down to terms with Nike all the way through 2026.
Sport outline one potential solution for Joan Laporta and co. to essentially break their ties with the American company, which would see the La Liga outfit ‘use its own brand as a bridge between Nike and Puma’, for the next two years.
This route, it is suggested, would see Barca avoid legal repercussions on the part of the former.
