One in, seven out: Real Madrid decimated for Sevilla clash

Spanish giants Real Madrid are set to head into the club’s next outing sans the services of a whole host of key performers.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops, of course, will mark their return to action on Sunday night.

After seeing arch rivals Barcelona climb to within five points of them at the La Liga summit, Real are set to play host to Sevilla, with sights set firmly on three points.

Such endeavours, as alluded to above, though, will come without the contributions of a hefty seven important members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

As much comes with the sidelined quartet of Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, Éder Militão and Jude Bellingham having this week been joined on the treatment table by frontman Joselu.

Not only that, but both Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Carvajal – on the back of his red card against Rayo Vallecano last time out – will sit out through suspension.

On the other hand, there is at least one piece of positive news for Real Madrid, in the form of the return of Antonio Rüdiger to matchday duties.
