One in, one out: Barcelona training latest before Mallorca clash

There was both positive and negative news at the training ground of La Liga champions Barcelona on Tuesday.

This of course comes as the Blaugrana begin ramping up preparations for the club’s season opener this coming weekend.

Hansi Flick’s troops will kick the defence of their Spanish top-flight crown into gear at Son Moix, in a meeting with RCD Mallorca on Saturday.

After closing out their pre-season fixture list over the weekend, Barcelona’s stars have since reconvened at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Tuesday.

And as alluded to above, there was news of note regarding the wellbeing of two players during the morning session.

The first came in the form of confirmation that Dani Olmo has rejoined group activities alongside the rest of his teammates.

Still absent, on the other hand, was Robert Lewandowski, who looks increasingly likely to miss this weekend’s opener owing to a muscular complaint.
