A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has taken up the responsibility of acting as a mentor for new signing Roony Bardghji.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.
Youngster Bardghji is for his part of course fresh off announcing himself to the Barcelona faithful this past weekend.
Afforded his debut off the bench in the Blaugrana’s friendly meeting with Vissel Kobe, the 19-year-old took full advantage, notching a fine goal en route to a 3-1 victory.
Even before that, though, Bardghji had long been making a positive impression in the dressing room in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Sport that:
‘The club highlights Bardghji’s positive attitude and his enormous desire to learn and soak up everything that Barça means, the machinery of La Masia. He has also won over the dressing room.’
And one player to have taken a particular shine to the young winger is the aforementioned Marc Casadó.
Midfielder Casadó is making a concerted effort to help Bardghji settle into Hansi Flick’s squad, labelled as ‘the one who has ‘sponsored’ the Swedish youth international.
