A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has emerged from each of the club’s outings thus far this season with Man of the Match honours.
That’s according to statisticians WhoScored, who unsurprisingly point towards Lamine Yamal as the player in question.
Wide-man Lamine is for his part fresh off a productive opening to the new campaign.
After notching a goal and an assist on opening day against Mallorca, the 18-year-old followed up with another assist in a win over Levante, before netting Barca’s only goal against Rayo Vallecano this past weekend.
Beyond as much, Lamine continued to run riot down Hansi Flick’s right flank, proving himself a constant thorn in the side of opposing backlines courtesy of elite touch, dribbling, and eye for a pass.
And as alluded to above, such efforts have certainly not gone overlooked on the part of those watching on…
As per a report from WhoScored:
‘Lamine Yamal has won the Player of the Match award in all three of his La Liga appearances so far this season.’
