A new nickname has over the last couple of days been afforded to a member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona.
This comes owing to his exploits during the club’s latest outing.
Barcelona are of course fresh off securing a return to winning ways this past weekend.
After welcoming Catalan rivals Girona to Montjuïc for a league clash, the Blaugrana had a last-gasp winner to thank for a 2-1 triumph.
A surprise hero emerged amidst as much, as the oft-criticised Ronald Araújo popped up with the game’s decisive third goal.
As much came after the Uruguayan, in the absence of both Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, was thrown on in a centre-forward role.
Araújo’s poacher-like finish drew widespread praise, as the defender provided a reminder to fans of his past as an attacker during the early years of his career.
Not only that, but it has since given rise to a humourous new nickname, too.
Combining the names of Araújo and goalscoring teammate Lewandowski, the former has been referred to by many as:
‘Araujowski’
