On-loan Barcelona star Héctor Fort has provided an insight into the details of the conversation between he and Hansi Flick on Sunday evening.
This comes after the pair were spotted exchanging words on the pitch on the back of the La Liga meeting between Barca and Elche.
Fort, who linked up with the latter on loan for the duration of the campaign, explained:
“Hansi Flick is someone very close to the players, he asks about our well-being and cares about us. He asked me about my physical condition, because I went off injured in the last Cup match, and he showed genuine interest in knowing how I feel and whether I’m happy at Elche. And I’m very grateful to him for that, because it shows his human side.”
Youngster Fort was introduced off the bench by the visitors to Montjuïc on Sunday.
The 19-year-old, however, could do little about Elche ultimately being put to the sword by a superior Barcelona side.
Eder Sarabia’s troops, as a result, remain 9th in the La Liga table.
