A member of the loan ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week returned to base in Catalunya’s capital. The Blaugrana star in question? Marc Casadó.
Midfielder Casadó was for his part dealt a heavy blow on the fitness front this past weekend. After being forced into a premature departure from Deportivo La Coruña’s La Liga meeting with Real Betis, the Spanish international was revealed to have suffered a broken collarbone.
Casadó, in turn, was forced under the knife earlier this week. He is expected to be sidelined for a period of around three months as a result.
And as alluded to above, the 23-year-old’s recovery, at least initially, is set to take place back under the watch of his parent club.
As per a report from Barcelona insider Carlos Monfort of Diario Sport:
‘Marc Casadó is at the Ciutat Esportiva to recover from his injury. The Catalan midfielder, currently on loan to Deportivo de La Coruña, suffered a fractured collarbone and will be sidelined for around three months. He will begin his recovery in Sant Joan Despí.’
