Omar Alderete will join Getafe on loan from Hertha Berlin, as reported by journalist César Luis Merlo.
Getafe have an obligation to buy the 25-year-old defender. The Paraguay international will undergo a medical on Friday before completing his move to the La Liga club.
Alderete spent last season on loan at Valencia, making 34 appearances for Los Che.
Spanish centre-back Jorge Cuenca was expected to return to Getafe from Villarreal this season, but at the last minute, Villarreal boss Unai Emery has opted to keep the player, who will be the third-choice centre-back behind Pau Torres and Raúl Albiol this season.
