Official: Valencia annouce new signing

La Liga outfit Valencia have on Wednesday announced a fresh addition to the club’s first-team ranks.

This comes amid confirmation that Los Che have secured the services of defender Justin de Haas from Portuguese outfit Famalicão.

De Haas, for his part, is a 26-year-old stopper, who chiefly lines out in a central role. The Dutchman is fresh off an impressive individual campaign, culminating in six goals across 32 appearances in all competitions for the aforementioned Famalicão.

These exploits proved crucial to the club’s eventual 5th-placed finish in the Liga Portugal.

And as alluded to above, this week, they have proven enough to earn for De Haas a move to one of European football’s leading divisions.

As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of La Liga outfit Valencia:

‘Justin de Haas is now a Valencia CF player. The new defender arrives to help the team defensively with his physical strength, power, and game awareness.’

The former Dutch youth international has put pen to paper on a contract at Mestalla through the summer of 2030.
