The latest squad of players called upon by La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Sunday been unveiled online.
And it features a pair of new absentees.
Real Madrid were of course back in action on Saturday evening, making the short trip across Spain’s capital for a showdown with Diego Simeone’s Atlético.
When all was said and done on a night to forget for Los Blancos, they were condemned to the wrong side of a 5-2 result.
The concerns for Xabi Alonso and co, however, did not end with simply the outcome at the Metropolitano.
In addition, Real were dealt a pair of blows on the personnel front.
Defenders Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão were both forced into premature departures from the derby, with the former having since been condemned to a spell of four weeks on the sidelines.
The two stoppers, as a result, have been left out of boss Alonso’s latest squad, to face Kairat in the Champions League on Tuesday.
