La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have on Saturday announced the latest arrival on the club’s bench.
This comes amid confirmation of the appointment of Pellegrino Matarazzo.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of the Basque side:
‘Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with coach Pellegrino Matarazzo to be the new manager of their first team until the end of the 26-27 season.
‘Tomorrow he will attend the Sanse match and on Monday, starting at 4:00 PM, he will be officially presented at the Anoeta Stadium.’
The announcement of Matarazzo’s appointment comes amid what has been an altogether underwhelming campaign to date in San Sebastian.
The Anoeta brass made the call to send summer arrival Sergio Francisco on his way earlier this month, with Sociedad embroiled in the battle against relegation.
La Real are fresh off dropping another two points in heartbreaking fashion earlier today, after conceding a last-minute spot-kick at Levante.
