La Liga outfit Real Oviedo have on Sunday announced the club’s 2nd managerial sacking of the campaign.
This comes amid confirmation that Luis Carrión has been sent on his way with immediate effect.
Real Oviedo are for their part fresh off another heavy defeat this afternoon.
After making the trip to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán for a league meeting with Sevilla, the newly-promoted outfit were put to the sword in alarming fashion, by four goals to nil.
And this proved the straw that broke the camel’s back for those in the boardroom back in Oviedo.
As per a statement across the Carbayones’ official website and social media platforms on Sunday evening:
‘Real Oviedo has made the decision to terminate Luis Carrión’s contract as first team coach.
‘The manager of the Asturian club has now left his position. Likewise, his coaching staff has also ended their association with the club.
‘Real Oviedo would like to thank Luis Carrión and his coaching staff for their dedication, professionalism and work during their time at the Club, wishing them all the best in their future careers.’
Carrión’s dismissal comes just two months on from the Spanish tactician reuniting with Real Oviedo, after a run of nine successive fixtures without a win.
