Big-name arrivals at Spanish football’s two biggest clubs have this week been handed some altogether contrasting news.
This comes by way of the release of the latest England national team squad.
Three Three Lions are primed to return to action next month, as part of the September international break.
A pair of fixtures lie in wait for Thomas Tuchel’s troops, in the form of World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia.
On Friday, Tuchel’s latest star-studded squad, in turn, was unveiled online.
And featuring front and centre was a member of the summer recruitment list at Barcelona, with Marcus Rashford afforded a recall to international duty.
Missing out, on the other hand, is one of Real Madrid’s most high-profile summer additions, with Trent Alexander-Arnold having not done enough to secure for himself a place in the plans of the Three Lions this time round.
