A member of the defensive ranks at Real Madrid has on Wednesday scooped the award for La Liga Goal of the Month.
The player in question? Éder Militão.
Stopper Militão was for his part responsible for a surprise moment of individual attacking brilliance late last month.
Amid his ongoing efforts to recover full fitness, the Brazilian was afforded a starting berth in a league meeting with Espanyol on September 20th.
And en route to an eventual 2-0 Real Madrid triumph, Militão opened the game’s scoring in nothing short of spectacular fashion.
Stepping forward with the ball well outside the Espanyol penalty area, the 27-year-old unleashed an unstoppable drive into the far top corner.
As much proved enough to earn for Militão a place on the shortlist for La Liga Goal of the month.
