Real Madrid star Dean Huijsen has been left out of Spain’s matchday squad to face Georgia on Saturday.
This comes amid the understanding that the youngster has picked up some form of fitness problem.
Huijsen was for his part initially named in Luis de la Fuente’s Spanish squad for the November international break, ahead of a pair of fixtures against Georgia and Türkiye.
The defender, considered an important part of La Roja’s backline, was therefore widely expected to feature from the off against the former later today.
As alluded to above, however, this will in fact not be the case.
Luis de la Fuente’s matchday call-up was unveiled online on Saturday afternoon.
And Huijsen was for his part nowhere to be seen, with an update on the 20-year-old’s situation expected at some point later today.
It is considered a strong possibility that Huijsen will be ruled out against Türkiye next week, too.
