La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Tuesday unveiled the club’s travelling squad list for the upcoming Spanish Super Cup.
And it features high-profile inclusions and absentees alike.
When it comes to the latter, the most noteworthy comes in the form of that of Kylian Mbappé.
After sitting out against Real Betis over the weekend owing to a knee injury, the Frenchman has not been risked for the trip to Saudi Arabia.
Turning focus to those who have been called up, the most surprising name is that of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Right-back Alexander-Arnold is sidelined long-term at present, due to a muscular injury in his left thigh.
The Englishman has nevertheless been included in Real’s Super Cup party, though, with it now remaining to be seen if he is in contention to take part in the tournament.
Also called upon are the likes of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba, as well as youngsters David Jiménez and Thiago Pitarch, for a Blancos squad as follows:
