Official: Real Madrid announce latest permanent sale

La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week made official a fresh departure from the club’s defensive ranks.

This comes amid confirmation that Youssef Enriquez Lekhedim has made the move to fellow La Liga outfit Deportivo Alavés.

The name of youngster ‘Yusi’ has taken its place centre stage in the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid for several weeks now.

This comes after widespread reports were forthcoming, pointing towards an incoming Blancos exit for the 19-year-old.

Yusi is fresh off a fine campaign on the books of Real Madrid Castilla, which saw the Morocco youth international rack up 35 league appearances.

Aware that his path to first-team minutes was set to be made an even more arduous one by the arrival of Álvaro Carreras in Xabi Alonso’s squad, though, Yusi recently opened the door to a transfer.

The aforementioned Alavés, in turn, quickly made their interest in a deal for the left-back known.

And as alluded to above, this week, Yusi’s Mendizorroza switch has been made official.

As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:

‘Real Madrid C. F. and Deportivo Alavés have reached an agreement for the transfer of our player, Youssef.

‘Our club thanks him for his hard work, commitment and dedication throughout his time at Real Madrid, and wishes both he and his family all the best in this new chapter of his life.’

Yusi has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Alavés, through the summer of 2029.
