Official: Real Madrid announce fresh injury blow

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday announced a setback on the personnel front in the club’s first-team ranks.

This comes amid confirmation that Rodrygo is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

As per a statement across Real Madrid’s official website and social media platforms:

‘Following the tests conducted today on our player Rodrygo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with tendinosis in the hamstring of his right leg. Awaiting progress.’

As per an ensuing report on the part of Blancos insider Arancha Rodriguez, Rodrygo is likely to be unavailable for selection for the next 10 days.

Rodrygo, in turn, is expected to miss the club’s next two fixtures, against Valencia and Real Sociedad.

He will also be absent for Real Madrid’s Champions League first-leg playoff meeting with Benfica, albeit as a result of a suspension handed down by UEFA earlier this week.
