La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Thursday made official the latest addition to the club’s first-team ranks. The latest player to have put pen to paper on terms in Spain’s capital? Yan Diomandé.
Those in a position of power at Real Madrid had of course been locked in negotiations over a deal for winger Diomandé for several weeks now.
After jumping to the front of the queue for the Ivorian amid widespread interest in his signature, Los Blancos made known their readiness to part with a premium sum to bring Diomandé to La Liga.
After the initial framework of a deal was put in place, RB Leipzig stood firm, squeezing every possible euro out of Florentino Pérez and his board.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, these discussions have at last borne fruit for all parties involved.
As per a statement across Real Madrid’s official website and social media platforms:
‘Real Madrid C.F. and RB Leipzig have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Yan Diomande, who will be linked to our club for the next seven seasons, until June 30, 2033.’
