Official: Real Madrid announce 3rd summer signing

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday announced the club’s third signing of the summer to date.

The latest player to have committed to terms with Los Blancos? Franco Mastantuono.

The name of youngster Mastantuono has of course taken its place front and centre in the media headlines in Spain’s capital over the course of the last week.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that Real Madrid had ramped up their efforts to bring the 17-year-old in from River Plate.

After Florentino Pérez and co. made clear their intention to activate Mastantuono’s release clause, all that was left to organise were the midfielder’s contract terms.

And with Mastantuono himself considering Real Madrid something of a dream landing spot, such terms proved no issue in being agreed.

On Friday, the Spanish heavyweights, in turn, have made official the starlet’s signing:

‘Real Madrid CF announces that Franco Mastantuono will be a player for our club for the next six seasons, from August 14, 2025, to June 30, 2031.’

As per transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Mastantuono’s signing has set Real Madrid back a sum of $45 million.
