La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Friday announced the contract renewal of manager Manuel Pellegrini.
This comes amid confirmation that the Chilean has agreed to extend his terms for another year, through the summer of 2027.
As per a statement across Betis’ website and social media platforms:
‘Real Betis Balompié and Manuel Pellegrini have agreed to extend their relationship for a further season. As a result, the Chilean head coach will remain in charge of the Verdiblancos until June 2027.’
Pellegrini, for his part, has now been plying his trade on the bench at the Estadio Benito Villamarín since all the way back in 2020.
Despite his advancing years – the former Manchester City boss recently turned 72 – Pellegrini does not appear to have lost any of his passion for the management game.
His Betis outfit currently sit 5th in the La Liga table, with 21 points on the board from 13 games played.
