La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Tuesday confirmed that attacker Cucho Hernández has undergone surgery under the club’s supervision.
This comes after the call was made to reduce the 26-year-old’s nasal turbinates.
A per a statement across the website and social media platforms of the Verdiblancos on Tuesday:
“Our player Cucho Hernández underwent minimally invasive nasal turbinate surgery yesterday at Viamed Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital to improve his nasal breathing capacity. The player has been discharged and is resting at home. His return to training will depend on his progress.”
Cucho, who was forced to pull out of international duty to undergo today’s procedure, is not expected to miss any game time in the colours of Real Betis.
The plan, according to Mundo Deportivo, is for the Colombian to be ready and available for selection in the club’s La Liga meeting with Girona on the far side of the international break.
Cucho for his part currently stands as the top scorer in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad in league play this season, with five goals to his name.
