La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Tuesday announced a fresh addition to the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation of the club’s long-awaited signing of goalkeeper Álvaro Valles.
The name of shot-stopper Valles had long proven an alogether prominent one in the media headlines across Spain.
As much came after the 27-year-old was condemned to a season watching on from the stands.
After making clear his intention not to sign a contract extension with Las Palmas following a stellar season in 2023/24, Valles was punished in harsh fashion by those behind the scenes in Gran Canaria.
All the while, though, talks between the Spaniard and former club Real Betis were ongoing.
This came with a view to a free agent joining of forces ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, precisely as much has been confirmed. As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Real Betis:
‘Real Betis Balompié has secured the signing of Álvaro Valles. The Sevillian goalkeeper, formed at the club’s youth academy, returns home after his spell at UD Las Palmas, committing to the club until 2030.’
