Rayo Vallecano have on Wednesday announced a deal for a member of the defensive ranks at La Liga rivals Real Betis.
The player in question? Nobel Mendy.
The name of youngster Mendy has emerged as an altogether prominent one in the transfer chatter surrounding Real Betis across the summer to date.
This comes after a whole host of clubs from across Spain and beyond were credited with a keen interest in the services of the central defender.
And as alluded to above, this week, one such club have managed to push an agreement with their counterparts at the Estadio Benito Villamarín over the line.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Rayo Vallecano, Mendy has joined the club on loan for the duration of the 2025/26 campaign.
The deal is also understood to feature an option to buy pencilled in for next summer.
