A member of the summer recruitment list at La Liga giants Real Madrid has officially been registered to take to the pitch in Spain’s top-flight this coming season.
The player in question? Álvaro Carreras.
The name of defender Carreras of course took its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital last week.
This came after the 22-year-old’s long-anticipated arrival from Benfica was at last made official.
Carreras has put pen to paper on a contract with Real Madrid through the summer of 2031, a reunion between the parties after going their separate ways back in 2020.
And as alluded to above, this weekend, the left-back’s eligibility to take to the pitch for Xabi Alonso’s side this coming season, too, has been confirmed.
