Official | Martin Ødegaard completes loan move to Arsenal

Martin Ødegaard has completed his loan move to Arsenal from Real Madrid on a deal that sees him stay for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.

Arsenal have confirmed the news, which makes the Norwegian their second Real Madrid loanee alongside fellow midfielder Dani Ceballos. The player’s wages will be paid in full by the London club.

Ødegaard returned to Madrid this season from a highly successful loan spell at LaLiga side Real Sociedad, however, he has failed to make an impact under Zinedine Zidane. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was an important factor in the 22-year-old’s decision to move to the Premier League. The Spanish boss spoke directly to Ødegaard and has reportedly offered him an important role in his side.
