La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca have on Thursday announced a contract termination in the club’s first-team squad.
The player sent on his way by the Son Moix brass? Dani Rodríguez.
Veteran midfielder Rodríguez was until recently considered one of the leaders both on and off the pitch at Mallorca.
This was until a surprise outburst against manager Jagoba Arrasate and his team selection calls culminated in the 37-year-old being banished from competitive duties.
Rodríguez, as a result, has not taken to the pitch since all the way back in August.
And as alluded to above, this week, the Spaniard has officially been sent packing by those in a position of power at Son Moix.
As per a statement across Mallorca’s website and social media platforms:
‘RCD Mallorca and Dani Rodríguez have reached an agreement to terminate the player’s contract, ending his seven and a half seasons at the club.’
