La Liga outfit Levante have on Sunday announced an immediate change on the club’s bench.
This comes, first, amid confirmation that manager Julián Calero has been sent on his way.
After Levante fell to a 4th successive league defeat at the hands of Athletic Club yesterday evening, the Valencians took to social media 24 hours on, to announce:
‘The Board of Directors of Levante UD and the Sporting Management have agreed that Julián Calero will not continue as coach of the first men’s team.’
And this statement has since been followed by another in swift order.
Stepping in to replace Calero on the touchline at the Estadi Ciutat de València will be two figures already present at the club, namely assistant manager Vicente Iborra, and Atlético Levante headmaster Álvaro del Moral:
‘Levante UD announces that Vicente Iborra and Álvaro del Moral will take over as head coaches of the men’s first team starting tomorrow, Monday, when the squad is scheduled to train from 9:30 a.m. at the Sports City.’
