Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Saturday secured for himself an altogether noteworthy piece of club history.
This comes owing to the Frenchman’s exploits in Los Blancos’ latest outing.
Real Madrid of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Sevilla to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.
The aforementioned Mbappé for his part featured from the off in the fixture, his final appearance of 2025.
And as alluded to above, en route to a 2-0 triumph for the evening’s hosts, the former Paris Saint-Germain standout etched his name into the history books.
Mbappé was responsible for rounding out the scoring in the fixture, courtesy of a late spot-kick.
This took the 27-year-old to a remarkable 59 goals scored across the calendar year in the colours of Real Madrid.
As much means that Mbappé has levelled Cristiano Ronaldo as the Blancos player with the most goals ever scored in a single January to December period.
