La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday announced some timely positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Alejandro Balde has been cleared to return to competitive duties.
Left-back Balde has for his part not taken to the pitch since before the September international break.
This comes owing to a muscular injury suffered in training.
The 21-year-old was spotted back out on the grass at the Ciutat Esportiva last week, with boss Hansi Flick having in turn suggested that Balde could be afforded some minutes against Real Sociedad this past Sunday.
In turn, it came as something of a surprise when the Spaniard was not even afforded a matchday call-up.
Those of a Barcelona persuasion eager to see their side’s first-choice left-back back on the pitch as soon as possible, though, need not fret.
As per a statement across the Blaugrana’s social media platforms, Balde has received ‘medical clearance’ and therefore been included in the club’s matchday squad to face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening.
