La Liga outfit Girona have this week announced a high-profile departure from the club’s first-team ranks.
The Blanquivermells star to have moved on? Ladislav Krejčí.
The name of versatile defender Krejčí has of course proven a prominent one in the media headlines across Spain and England alike for several weeks now.
As much comes after confirmation was forthcoming that Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers had set their sights firmly on the signature of the 26-year-old.
Krejčí for his part only made the move to Catalunya last summer, but evidently did enough in his debut Girona campaign to prove his talents to those at Molineux.
To the point that, as alluded to above, Wolves have this week officially landed the Czech international.
As per a statement across Girona’s website and social media platforms:
‘Czech defender Ladislav Krejčí leaves Girona to join Wolverhampton Wanderers FC after the agreement reached between the two clubs.’
