Official | Gavi signs new deal with Barcelona

Barcelona have reached an agreement on a new deal for midfielder Gavi.

The Spain international has put pen to paper on a deal until 30 June 2026. The release clause is set at €1bn.

The event for Gavi’s new contract extension will take place on Thursday 15 September at 6 pm CEST in an open event at Spotify Camp Nou.

The two parties had already reached an agreement last July, but the deal was subject first to Gavi turning 18.

The club also had to activate the financial levers and make several departures official so that the Seville-born player could sign his renewal.

Miralem Pjanic’s departure to the United Arab Emirates allowed Barça to execute Gavi’s extension.

With his new contract, the 18-year-old will join €1bn release clause club at the Blaugrana.

The club implemented this policy to protect its young stars with the renewal of Pedri and, after the Canary Islander, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Ronald Araújo, Raphinha and Jules Koundé have been given the same clauses.
