The blistering start to the summer being enjoyed by those in the boardroom at La Liga outfit Espanyol has on Tuesday continued.
This comes amid confirmation of a 9th signing on the part of the Catalan outfit.
The latest player to have put pen to paper on terms at the RCDE Stadium? Ramon Terrats.
The name of midfielder Terrats had proven a prominent one in the media headlines surrounding Espanyol over the course of the last week.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the 24-year-old, fresh off a fine loan stint with Getafe, had made his way firmly onto the radar of the Espanyol brass.
Negotiations, in turn, were quickly kicked into gear between club, player, and Terrats’ current owners, Villarreal.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, such talks have officially borne fruit.
As per a statement across Espanyol’s website and social media platforms:
‘RCD Espanyol and Villarreal CF have agreed to the loan of player Ramon Terrats for one season. The operation includes a purchase option by the white-and-blue club if certain team objectives are met.’
Midfielder Terrats joins all of Marko Dmitrović, Hugo Pérez, Marcos Fernández, Miguel Rubio, Kike García, José Salinas, Carlos Romero and Roberto Fernández in committing to terms with Espanyol this summer.
