The date for the highly-anticipated upcoming clash between Argentina and Spain has this week been set in stone.
The info comes courtesy of journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that the ‘Finalissima’ has been pencilled in for March of next year.
Specifically, the reigning champions of Europe and South America will go head-to-head on March 27th, 2026.
The clash will be contested in Doha, Qatar.
Next year’s Finalissima has of course long been billed as a showdown between the past and future of world football.
This comes with eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi – widely regarded as the greatest of all-time – primed to lock horns with the standout young talent in the game, Lamine Yamal
Those of a Barcelona persuasion are expected to tune in from across the globe, eager to see their club’s past and present do battle for what could well prove to be the only time ever.
