La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have on Tuesday announced a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that Club Brugge standout Ferran Jutglà has put pen to paper on terms with the club.
Frontman Jutglà had seen his name dominate the headlines in Vigo over the course of the last week.
This came after widespread reports were forthcoming, confirming that the brass at Balaídos had earmarked the 26-year-old as something of a priority signing.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, Jutglà’s return to his home country of Spain has been confirmed.
As per a statement across Celta Vigo’s official website and social media platforms:
‘RC Celta strengthens its forward line with the addition of Ferran Jutglà, who becomes the third signing for the Blues this season after the agreement reached with Club Brugge. The Catalan forward signs with the Vigo team for four seasons, until June 2029.’
Also in line to benefit financially from Jutglà’s Celestes switch, meanwhile, are another of La Liga’s clubs, in Barcelona.
As part of the forward’s sale to Club Brugge back in 2022, the Blaugrana secured for themselves a clause entitling them to 10% of the profit from any future sale.
And as per Mundo Deportivo:
‘Sources familiar with the deal have told MD that it was finalized for €5.5 million, meaning Barça will receive €50,000.’
