La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have on Friday announced a setback on the personnel front in the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that Borja Iglesias is facing up to an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Frontman Borja for his part featured from the off in midweek, as Celta locked horns with Albacete in a Copa del Rey clash.
En route to the Celestes being sent packing by way of a penalty shootout defeat, however, the 32-year-old was forced into a premature departure from proceedings.
As much came after Borja pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular complaint.
The experienced attacker was in turn put through a round of medical tests back in Galicia over the last 24 hours.
And on Friday, the results of as much have been revealed.
As per a statement across Celta Vigo’s website and social media platforms:
‘Medical Report: Borja Iglesias.
‘Our forward is suffering from a minor right subcostal strain.’
Borja has since been left out of Celta’s travelling squad to face Real Oviedo on Saturday afternoon.
