Official: Barcelona youngster to miss 3-4 months through injury

The injury woes at La Liga giants Barcelona have this week continued to pile up.

This comes amid confirmation that Blaugrana defensive talent Landry Farré is set for an extended incoming spell on the sidelines.

Stopper Landry had for his part emerged as a prominent name in Catalunya’s capital over recent weeks.

As much came after the 18-year-old became the latest Barca youngster called up to first-team training by Hansi Flick.

Whilst lining out for Barca Atlètic this past weekend, however, Landry suffered a setback, limping out of a derby clash with Espanyol with a knee problem.

And an ensuing round of medical tests have since confirmed the serious extent of the issue…

As per a statement across Barca Atlètic’s social media platforms on Wednesday:

‘The tests carried out have shown that the Barça Atlètic player 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲́ has an injury to the lateral collateral ligament of his right knee. He will follow a conservative treatment and the estimated recovery time will be between 3 and 4 months.’
