A member of the defensive ranks at La Lig champions Barcelona has this week secured a fresh call-up to national team duty.
The player in question? Andreas Christensen.
Stopper Christensen is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch for the first time this season this past weekend.
En route to Barcelona’s 3-2 La Liga downing of Levante, the former Chelsea man was introduced to proceedings off the bench for the 2nd-half.
This comes amid an ongoing resurgence on Christensen’s part, after the 29-year-old spent the bulk of the 2024/25 campaign sidelined through injury.
With a string of impressive performances late last season having since been followed by a return to prominence in Hansi Flick’s squad, Christensen, in turn, has this week been afforded his latest call for international duty.
After a full 14 months without as much, the stopper has been included in Denmark’s senior squad for a pair of upcoming fixtures against Scotland and Greece.
