La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday announced some positive news in the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that Marc-André ter Stegen is now back available for competitive duties.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is for his part yet to take to the pitch this season.
As much comes after the German was forced under the knife over the summer, to repair a long-term back complaint.
Recent weeks have seen Ter Stegen ramp up his recovery efforts, spotted participating in group activities in Barcelona training at the Ciutat Esportiva.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, such efforts have officially borne fruit.
As per a statement across the Blaugrana’s social media platforms:
‘Ter Stegen has been given the medical green light.’
The 33-year-old will in turn be available to play his part against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League later this evening, albeit with Hansi Flick having already confirmed that Joan García is set to remain his no.1 moving forward.
