Official: Barcelona & Real Madrid stars handed international call-ups

Members of the first-team ranks at Spanish football’s two biggest clubs have been afforded call-ups to the latest France national team squad.

From Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad, Jules Koundé is the sole inclusion, despite the underwhelming recent stretch of form being endured by the defender.

On the other side of the Clásico divide, meanwhile, Eduardo Camavinga and Kylian Mbappé have been afforded expected call-ups, too.

Aurélien Tchouaméni, on the other hand, misses out, after being condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines through injury on Thursday.

Les Bleus are primed to return to action a week from today, when they play host to Ukraine in a World Cup qualifying fixture.

This will then be followed by a trip to Azerbaijan three days later, to close out their qualification campaign.

Didier Deschamps’ troops currently sit top of the Group D table, with 10 points from four outings to date.
