Official: Barcelona & Real Madrid learn Copa del Rey Last-16 opponents

The draw for the Last-16 of this season’s Copa del Rey has on Wednesday been made official.

The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético have, in turn, learned their respective opponents for the competition’s next round.

Beginning with reigning champions Barca, a trip to Racing Santander – who currently sit top of the La Liga 2 table – lies in wait.

Turning focus to Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid, Los Blancos have also been pitted against 2nd division opposition.

A visit to Albacete lies in wait for the capital heavyweights.

Diego Simeone’s Atlético, meanwhile, will be on the road, too, when they pay visit to Deportivo de La Coruña.

Elsewhere, Valencia have been drawn against Burgos, Real Betis will play host to Elche, whilst another all-La Liga affair awaits between Deportivo Alavés, and Rayo Vallecano.
