Official: Barcelona announce permanent sale

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday announced a departure from the club’s senior ranks. This comes amid confirmation that Ansu Fati’s move to France with AS Monaco has been made permanent.

Attacker Ansu of course spent this past season out on loan away from Catalunya’s capital.

In search of a much-needed career revival, the Spaniard linked up with the aforementioned Monaco in Ligue 1. Ansu’s time at the Stade Louis II proved, all told, to be a success, giving rise to 12 goals across 30 appearances in all competitions.

The Monaco brass, in turn, had long made the call to attempt to make their on-loan winger’s arrival full-time with a view to next season.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, the Monegasques have managed precisely that. As per a statement across Barcelona’s social media platforms:

‘FC Barcelona and AS Monaco have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ansu Fati.’
